This car proved to be a difficult build as the owner wanted to keep it as OG as possible. That meant keeping the inline six and three speed as well as leaving the floors untouched. Problem is the torque tube rear end had to be replaced to fit his side skirts. We installed a G body rear end and machined a custom tailshaft with a retaining plate on the back of the three speed. The air ride system was again a challenge as the owner wanted four switches as if it were a hydraulics setup. We machined a custom manifold and plumbed everything old school with individual dumps, then wrapped it up with stainless hard lines.
This came to us in 2016 for a ground up build. Since that time the addition of a brand new GM LT4 power plant and a number of unseen modifications have brought this car once again to a new level. Parts list includes products from Wegner Motorsports, American Autowire, Dakota Digital, Nu-Relics Power Windows, ABS Power Brakes ETC. No expense was spared in this project and it shows. Cover story for Lowrider Magazine, countless 1st in class wins at shows around the country.
This build epitomises the quality people have come to expect from Switches and Thangs. See this car getting beaten all around the streets of Toronto.
